BYFA is excited to be offering a fall workshop!  It is an 8 week fall singing/acting/dancing workshop that culminates into a professional big-stage production of the Broadway show “Peter Pan Jr.” Students will learn about the auditioning process, vocal techniques, acting skills and choreography…and at the end of the last week of workshop, we perform a Broadway show on a professional theatre stage with sets, costumes, make-up, lights and body mics. 

 

Dates for this will run:

Aug. 17- Oct. 17 

Rehearsals:  Mondays and Wednesdays

​                    5:30-7:30pm (during the last week the rehearsal schedule will differ slightly)

 

Performances: Oct. 16. 7pm

                       Oct. 17   2pm  &  7pm

No rehearsal on Sept. 1 (Labor Day).

No rehearsal on Oct. 5

 

We welcome ages 5-18 years. Tuition is $400 per student (costume, tshirt and two comp tickets included). Tuition is non-refundable after Aug. 13. No exceptions.

Absences can be excused for illness or if instructors are given ample notice except for during tech week (the week before performances). Tech week is mandatory attendance. (Oct. 14-17)

 

For rehearsals, location is a private residence in the Stockdale area (address is given once student is enrolled and tuition is paid) Then for the last week of workshop, we will move into Stars at the Fillbrandt Theatre (1931 Chester Ave.) and add the big stage, costumes, make-up, sets, lights and body mics! Performances will be Oct. 16 & 17.

In 1929 Sir J.M. Barrie bequeathed Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, which has benefited thousands of children since then. The producers are proud and happy that everyone who has bought a ticket for today’s performance of Peter Pan Jr., is helping towards making the hospital the incredible center of hope it is today.
